Teaching Gardens this Saturday

Yes, I know it’s a long weekend, but Dan and I will be working in the garden from 9 to noon this Saturday, July 2, so if you’re in town and have some time to spare, please join us.

If you aren’t able to help with the gardening, do yourself a favour and stop by to check out the gardens when you get a chance.  Thanks to a group of dedicated volunteers they are looking amazing.  Bernie Mangiola has devoted countless hours to pruning the espaliered apple trees and building the stone knee walls, and Shelli Eisenberg spent hours pruning, weeding, and ‘dressing’ the beds in the Apothecary’s Garden.  Meanwhile in the Plant Lover’s Garden, Marie Allen (and family!) has been labouring alone and unsung getting the jungle under control.  It’s wonderful to see, and there are baby peacocks to boot, so if you’re around this weekend, come check it out!
