Free lunchtime concert with Robert Karras, piano

Robert Karrass, pianist and musicologist, was born in Los Angeles in 1984.  At the age of five he started formal piano studies with Alla Zacarelli at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.  Robert received a bachelor’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music in piano performance and a master’s degree in music history with emphasis in performance practice from the University of Hartford.  Robert has successfully participated in national and international music festivals and competitions.  His scholarly pursuits include analyses of Mozart’s piano concerti and the opera Die Zauberflöte.  He will perform works by Bach, Beethoven, and Chopin.
