Proposed new large residential developments

There are a number of large, residential developments proposed for Ainslie Wood and Westdale – some intended for students, others for general use. In most cases, developers will require variances to be granted by the City and the public in able to comment on impact and desirability.

The AWWCA supports increased density as outlined in the Ainslie Wood Westdale Secondary Plan (2005). We have registered objections to some proposals in whole or in part, but not in others, depending on the apparent impact and the opinions of near-by members.
