Toronto Mass Choir

For more than 25 years the Toronto Mass Choir has been on the cutting edge of the Canadian gospel music scene, bringing their distinct gospel sound to the world stage.  TMC’s music incorporates contemporary gospel, traditional gospel, and Caribbean music influences.  TMC’s combination of gospel lyrics with a variety of musical styles has resulted in a style unique in Canada.  Karen Burke, a graduate of McMaster University and the Royal Conservatory of Music and a professor of music at York University, is the director of this diversified group of phenomenal singers and musicians.  The TMC will be joined for this performance by the McMaster University Choir.  Tickets $20, senior $15, student $5.  For more information call 905-525-9140, ext. 24246, or 27671, or e-mail sota@mcmaster.ca

he United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health Another Drop Lecture Series presents Dr. Aslam Chaudhry speaking on Water SDG(s) and Sustainable Development Governance in the Post-2015 Development Era:  A Few Reflections.  In 2015 the Millennium Development Goals– set of global targets ushered in with the new millennium to eradicate poverty around the world–will end.  What will the global leaders choose as the next set of targets post-2015?  This presentation will focus on the post-2015 agenda intergovernmental processes while reflecting on the lessons learned from the Millennium Development Goals and the broader role of water, especially with regard to agricultural management.
