On March 26th 2013 McMaster is going to be hosting it’s first ever CHANGE CAMP from in Council Chambers (Gilmore Hall 111) from 6:30-8:30pm. The goal of this participant-driven unconference is to bring together members of the Hamilton and McMaster communities to engage in discussions on relevant issues that affect us all. We are going to have 6 round tables set up for facilitated conversations on a variety of topics related to the University and the community.
The topics are:
Youth Retention in Hamilton
Neighbourhood Relations
Community Engagement and Community-Based Learning
Housing and Balanced Neighbourhoods
Downtown Renewal
Mental Health and the Community
The ideas, conflicts and collaborations generated from this event will then be disseminated among the University and community as a resource and platform for change. We would like to invite YOU to come out and share your perspective, engage with these issues and build connections within the community. ALL ARE WELCOME to participate in this event.
Refreshments will be provided.
We look forward to seeing you there! Please advise if you’re available to come, but if you’re still uncertain you are welcome to drop in.
Sincerely,
Erika Richter
