Teaching Gardens, Churchill Park Update

Mary Louise Pigott reports that the big news this season is the addition of a labyrinth/peace garden led by local sculptor and labyrinth designer/builder Martyn Kendrick. The layout has already begun, and the installation will continue over the next few Saturdays. We need volunteers, so if you’d like to be part of this initiative, please join us this Saturday, June 15, at 10:00 a.m. The labyrinth is located behind the Plant Lover’s Garden, the walled garden behind the peacock cage in the Aviary.

The regular work parties will be continuing as well from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturdays, June 15, 22, and 29, and we can always use more volunteers. We also have some plants available to give away, such as tobacco, clary sage, anise, hyssop, and mint. Join us Saturday morning if you’re interested.
