It was an exciting meeting last week, with our terms of reference being voted in and our first annual general meeting being scheduled on Oct. 28, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. following the yoga and pilates class. The purpose of the annual general meeting is to vote in our executive, determine who our voters will be, meet our neighbours, and have a great time. Nominations will be a self-nomination process. We are looking to fill the following positions:
Chair
Co-chair
Secretary
Voting members

The board can have up to a maximum of 20 voters including the three executive positions. If you are interested in becoming a voting member of the committee please fill out the nomination form and submit it to me at your earliest convenience. Nominations will be accepted at the AGM; however, it is encouraged to have these filled in beforehand. The AGM will have food, and some fun activities to participate in that will help you meet your neighbours. Please see the attached flyer for the AGM.
It would be great to see as many community residents there as possible. Attendance has been steadily decreasing, and for this process to work we have to have strong numbers. The more people at the table, the better representation we have from the neighbourhood. Please bring neighbours and friends, and their neighbours, and their neighbours too. The more the better.
