Volunteers needed this Sat. for Churchill Park Teaching Gardens

After a long winter, followed by a long, cold spring, it’s time to get back to the garden! Please see the attached update from Dan Riegler on what was accomplished last year, and what lies ahead.

There will be a spring clean up/weeding work party at the Apothecary’s Garden this Saturday from 9 am – 12 pm. The cherry trees are in bloom, and the Aviary is a beautiful place to be. The Apothecary’s Garden is shaping up to be a fascinating gathering place for our community, and a compliment to the original ‘teaching’ mandate of the Teaching Gardens, but we need your help to make it happen.

Hope you can make it out, and please pass this along to anyone else you think might be interested.

If you plan to attend, call the library at905-546-3456 so they can brew enough tea. Questions: judypollardsmith@gmail.com and for information on how the Society works, see www.barbara-pym.org.
